Bluebell 10k

Bluebell 10k 25/4/2010

The day and the race went to plan – as a good training day for the upcoming Outlaw triathlon.

Based in Angmering it is a beautiful setting for a run through the Angmering Park Estate. As the name suggests it is run through woodland trails surrounded by bluebells. It was by no means a flat run and had a very steep hill to finish in the last half mile!

As I live about 30 miles away from the race I decided to cycle to the event, run, then cycle back. My wife was also doing the run drove there and I met her in the car park. Somewhat ironically I managed to arrive first and the wife got lost. Directions have never been her strong point!!

Rather than race the 10k I ran with the wife finishing just outside the hour, running at hopefully Outlaw marathon pace, a little longer than the 45mins it took me last year. A good cycle home finished off a very productive day.
